New Hemp Regulations for Georgia Retailers
As of October 1, 2024 a number of regulations took effect in the state of Georgia in relation to the sale of consumable hemp products due to new legislation. A few of the changes include:
- New minimum age requirements (21)
- The prohibition of cannabis flower (buds)
- The prohibition of all edibiles except for gummies and drinks
- Redefining the legal level of Delta-9 THC to take THCA into account
- Strict lab testing requirements
- New packaging requirements and prohibitions
In addition to this legislation, the Georgia Department of Agriculture has proposed additional rules that will further restrict the amount of Delta-9 THC in edibles. If adopted, these rules will restrict gummies to a maximum of 10mg of Delta-9 THC, with a maximum of 150mg allowed per package.
We have created a new website just for our Georgia customers
Our new website, GeorgiaCannabis.store, contains all of the products we have in stock that comply with the new law. While you can still purchase these same products on this website, we have not yet automated the process of restricting purchases of other items, so restricted items will be refunded from any orders placed. Additionally, by creating a store dedicated to Georgia customers it gives us an opportunity to narrow down and hone in on the very best products available for our customers in Georgia.
If you don’t live in Georgia you can still order from Georgia Legal Cannabis.
