delta 8 edibles

Do you see limited or inconsistent results with edibles? A NANO product might fix that.

Despite our modern-day government’s best efforts, humans have been consuming cannabis for thousands of years, and before we ever figured out that setting it on fire was the quickest path to nirvana we were eating it. And we have continued to do so, for medical reasons, for spiritual reasons, to get creative or just to get high. So skilled have we become at infusing cannabis into food that just about any delicacy you can think of could easily have cannabis added to it.

“Edibles don’t work for me”

One of the most common complaints about hemp infused edibles is that they “don’t work”. If you are consuming edibles that have been lab tested for potency and still don’t achieve noticeable or desired effects it could be because of how your body metabolizes cannabinoids. Because everyone is different, some people seem to metabolize the compounds of cannabis in a faster and stronger way than others. This is the result of what is known as First-Pass Metabolism, where the liver filters out foreign compounds from the bloodstream before circulating it back through the rest of the body. So generally speaking, when cannabinoids are ingested a majority of the active components are “wasted” out by the liver before it circulates back to the brain, where the psychoactive effects present themselves.

Some people’s liver just filters out more cannabinoids than others, which is often why they can get the results they are looking for by smoking or vaping cannabis, but not when they eat it. Or, if they are successful, it is usually because they took an edible dose that is much higher than normal.

Nano Delta-8 and CBD

An answer that many edibles consumers have found to this problem is the use of a nano or nano-emulsified product. Essentially, a nano cannabinoid is one that has been reduced in size to be much much much smaller than it originally was (over one-millionth it’s original size). As the cannabinoids get smaller they become water soluble, meaning they no longer need to catch a ride on a fat molecule to make it into your system and cross the blood-brain barrier. Because your body is made up of about 60% water, a water soluble molecule has a much better chance of making it in than a fat soluble product does.

Because of the tiny size of nano particles, they are readily absorbed when taken sublingually (under the tongue) increasing it’s quick onset. Increased absorbtion in the stomach also increases the efficacy of the nano emulsified cannabinoids when swallowed.

What this usually means is that nano cannabinoids are going to be metabolized by your body faster and the effects are going to be more pronounced than they would be with a similarly dosed fat soluble product.
